Position Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a short-term locum tenens assignment in Texas. This role involves delivering high-quality medical care by managing various duties including physical examinations, splinting, suturing, and overseeing vaccination protocols. Ideal candidates will be adept in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, reflecting a robust background in Occupational Medicine.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical exams
- Manage and refer out extreme cases to appropriate facilities
- Coordinate with primary care providers for ongoing patient management
- Perform splinting and suturing as required
- Administer both domestic and foreign vaccinations
- Provide effective medication management, primarily over-the-counter
- Perform drug tests, pulmonary testing, and respiratory testing
- Review and assess patient questionnaires

Additional Information
- DOT Certification is required
- Prefer candidates with an Occupational Medicine background
- Must be licensed in Texas
- Familiarity with Prognocis EMR system is beneficial
