Preceptorship Description
Paul is an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), with a Doctor of Nursing Degree (DNP) and Board Certification (BC) in Adult Gerontology and Acute Care. I acquired all my degrees from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia (2015 to 2021), the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana (2007-2010), and the University of Cape Coast, Ghana (2002-2006). Before my Doctoral program, I had over 7 years of experience in Microbiology and Infectious diseases with special interests in Public Health and Epidemiology through disease diagnosis, treatment, and counseling. Since my Nursing and Doctoral training, I have worked with numerous results-oriented Medical, Academic, and Research institutions including the Presbyterian Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Hospital as a Hospitalist, Oak Street Health, Excel Medical Center, Heart Care Consultants, and other Physician offices and Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Philadelphia and the Delaware counties as an Academic Preceptor and as a Primary Care Provider for Adults and Geriatrics. I have also had the chance to precept NP and DNP students from Walden, Holy Family, and Aspen Universities. Currently, I am doubling as the Medical Director/Primary Care Provider (PCP) at PAMA Medical Center, as a PCP in some Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) in Philadelphia. I am looking forward to joining any academic, research, or medical institution that seeks growth through evidence-based practice guidelines.
